Julia Hobsbawm is a writer, speaker and strategist who addresses Social Health and simplicity in a complex age, finding solutions for humans in the most challenging time in living memory. Her work has been featured by organisations and institutions ranging from the OECD and World Economic Forum and Global Drucker Forum and a wide range of global corporations. Julia is the editor and author of six books, including Fully Connected: Social Health in an Age of Overload which was shortlisted for Management Book of the Year 2018 and Business Book of the Year 2018. Her latest The Simplicity Principle: Six Steps Towards Clarity in a Complex World (2020, also available in the US) was described by James Harding, founder of Tortoise Media as ‘clairvoyant’ and by Ruby Wax as ‘brilliant’.
In addition to being a columnist for Strategy + Business, a regular broadcaster on Sky News, Julia is Editor-at-Large for Arianna Huffington’s wellbeing portal, THRIVE Global. She also writes for OECD and The World Economic Forum, CNN, Vogue, GQ and Medium. Julia presents The Simplicity Principle Podcast and has written and presented series for BBC Radio 4. A social entrepreneur, Julia founded the network and content business Editorial Intelligence in 2005, and the Social Capital Network in 2019. She was awarded an OBE for Services to Business in 2015. She is a Patron of The Zoe Education Trust, and the Facial Surgery Research Foundation and a founding trustee of the charity OurBrainBank.
